The Beginning of Something That Was Always Meant to Be

Dear Diary…

It’s been a long time coming.

If you’ve found your way here, welcome — truly. SA Women Diaries has lived in my heart for years, and finally seeing it take shape feels like returning to a dream I once pressed pause on.

This journey started back in 2018, shortly after I won the Rising Star Award, then sponsored by Standard Bank. I remember the judges — who later became mentors — asking me a question that changed everything: “How will you give back?” It echoed in my spirit long after the applause faded.

Being a girl from Alexandra, the answer felt clear. I wanted to create a space for women like me — women with stories, ambition, scars, softness, and fire. That led to my very first event: Alex Women Diaries. A room full of women, by women, for women. Professionals, dreamers, mothers, leaders. We gathered to talk finance, relationships, health, healing, and everything in between.

That day was the inception of the name “Women Diaries” — long before I knew it would become a movement.

In 2019, the plan was simple: host yearly events, build a community, pour into each other, and eventually translate all of it into a platform where those stories could live beyond a room and reach women everywhere. Then life happened. As it does. The world changed, COVID shifted our paths, and I too needed to figure things out personally.

But here we are. Full circle. Still standing. Still dreaming.

And so, SA Women Diaries is finally born — not as an event (for now), but as a home. A digital space where we gather, reflect, laugh, heal, learn, and feel seen. A space where our stories matter. A space that will grow with us, and hopefully return to physical events soon.

For now?

Let’s meet here.

Let’s build here.

Let’s diary together.

Welcome to the beginning.

Welcome to SA Women Diaries.
